Hello there! My name is Caitlin. You can call me Cait. I’d like to tell you a little about me.
I wish I could tell you that I have an extensive education, years of experience, and multiple awards. But, that would be a lie… Truth is, I’m not that special. I’m just someone who has a passion for helping others take back control of their health.
I am the wife of a wonderful and godly man named Kevin and mom of a sweet little man named Azariah. Can you tell our little man loves to make funny facial expressions?
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). I have my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center. After giving birth to our sweet little man, I’ve been blessed to be able to stay home with him while finding creative ways to practice my passion.
How I Got Here
On this journey to finding what healthy eating is (and isn’t), I’ve discovered that I have a deep passion for getting nutrition into people’s hands. My desire is for others to eat in a way that builds confidence, is adventurous and exciting, and best supports their health. I now have a passion for what you would call “Functional Medicine,” where food is used as medicine. As I have dug into this field, I’ve seen that alternative medicine is not that scary. It actually can be extremely beneficial and safe when practiced alongside modern medicine.
So, you might ask why I am starting this blog. I would say that I am on a journey to discover a place where we are the CEO’s of our health and doctors, procedures, and drugs are simply tools used only when needed.
